Welcome to the Bradley Farm Wave, our neighborhood summer swim team! We are a part of the Herndon Swim League. The purpose of the league is to promote sportsmanship through friendly competition between amateur swimmers, designed to teach good swimming techniques and provide aquatic skills that participants can use throughout their lives.
As part of a developmental team, your child will have the opportunity to learn the four competitive strokes (butterfly, freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke) and swim in meets, along with many opportunities to have fun! All ability levels are welcome ages 4-18. Swimmers must be able to swim one length of the pool continuously without stopping.
Junior Wave: Do you have a child interested in swimming but who can’t make it across the pool yet? Check out Junior Wave! This category is for swimmers at least 4 years of age who are interested in joining the team but are not yet meet ready. This program has dedicated coaches and lanes.
Team registration is open!
You've got the spirit, yes you do! You've got the spirit and you look good, too!
Show your support for the Wave by using this link to purchase a team shirt or hoodie. Swim caps and magnets are available, too. Many thanks to Chris Bevington for designing the back of the tee-shirt for the swimmers the past 2 years, and to Christina Bevington for taking care of ordering.
We are looking for a few good volunteers!
We need parents who are willing to be trained as Officials (Referee, Stroke and Turn). Free training clinics will be held on the evenings of Wednesday, June 6 and Monday, July 11 at the Herndon Community Center 7:00-8:00 PM
Do you love food? Do you like being the boss? Are you organized and detail oriented? We are looking for a volunteer to take over as Concessions Manager. If we do not have fill this position, we will no longer offer concessions and we will need to raise registration fees.
